Colson Baker, or Machine Gun Kelly, is well-known for his distinctive way of rapping. Baker was born the 22nd of April, 1990, in Houston Texas U.S. into the family of English Scottish and German descent. His parents were missionaries, and in his early years, he traveled a lot together. The father James Colson Baker struggled with depression and joblessness and his mother Sonia Alane left them when at the age of nine. Baker's dad moved along with his son to Denver and they lived at the home of his aunt. Baker was bullied by other children because of his lack of wealth. In the sixth grade, Baker began to listen to rap. Colson Baker, a.k.a in the form of Machine Gun Kelly, was born in Texas on April 22, 1990. His compositions are known to blend modern hip-hop and rock with alternative music. Baker has released four mixtapes in between 2007-2010, prior to joining Bad Boy Records. The Cleveland rapper, who wrote lyrics with the velocity of a speeding bullet experienced an explosive growth when at the end of 2011, Baker switched from self-released mixtapes to established label. After that, his career increased exponentially as every album charted in the top 10 charts.
