After finishing his school years, Lars joined the military in which he completed his basic military service of nine months in the Kongelige Livgarde (Royal Guards) which was an infantry regiment of the Danish army. He wasn't sure if the military service was right for him so he began to look for a different option and eventually chose to study biology. As he was busy with the course, which had already been a half-year, Anette came home from an juggler's class and showed him how good she could perform juggling after just three days. Lars was delighted and wanted to take it on. He dropped out of college to enroll in juggling school. He learned fire breathing and the art of juggling in this school. He then traveled along with two of his fellow students through Europe as a tour artist performing in cities such as Paris, Munich and Moscow. Two years later he came in contact with a children's circus, and he discovered pantomime and street and children's theater.
